Cylinder Rebuilds for Large Mining Equipment

Boundary supports large-cylinder rebuilds for hydraulic shovels through our affiliate Bridge Machine. From Komatsu PC and Hitachi EX machines to selected auxiliary equipment, the focus is on rebuild work that helps get critical equipment back into service.

OUR REBUILD PROCESS

    Review the Application

    We begin by understanding the machine, cylinder function, operating conditions, and service history. That helps define the rebuild scope and identify the issues that matter before work begins.

    Tear Down and Inspect

    Each cylinder is disassembled and inspected to evaluate wear, damage, and overall condition. The goal is to understand what can be repaired, what needs replacement, and what the rebuild needs to address before the cylinder returns to service.

    Machine, Hone, and Repair

    Required repair work is carried out using the machining, honing, welding, and shop support needed for large-cylinder rebuilds. This is where the condition of the component is turned into a defined repair plan.

    Rebuild and Final Check

    Once repairs are complete, the cylinder is rebuilt and reviewed before return to service. The focus is on a rebuild that fits the application and supports reliable operation in the field.
